Deputy Manager
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Deputy Manager to work in an exceptional nursing home based in the Durham area. As a Deputy Manager you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special service provides care, company and support for people with mental health needs including Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Korsakoff, Dementia and people who have challenging behaviour.
As a Deputy Manager your day to day duties includes:
• Ensure the highest possible standards of care, assessing residents' needs and wishes, and developing services to enhance their quality of life.
• Champion appropriate independence and personal choice; developing, reviewing and updating care plans to meet our residents physical and social needs.
• Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift – ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered, in accordance with company policies and current legislation.
• Ensure all elements of resident experience are positive, from admission to discharge.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines – identify, investigate and resolve risks proactively.
• Ensure you follow a rigorous monitoring and recording practice; documenting efficiently, and thoroughly all matters relating to residents and employees
An ideal Deputy Manager must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
• A positive and flexible attitude and wholly adopt a person centred ethos, exhibiting empathy and a desire to make a difference.
• Be forward thinking and up to date with current practices and have a desire to maintain excellent clinical and industry knowledge.
• Strong leadership and management qualities are essential and previous experience as a deputy home manager would be desirable.
• Able to show a can-do attitude always
• NMC Registered
The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary of £17.31 per hour and the annual salary for this position is £32,404.32 per annum.
